The River of Life project, funded by the British Council’s National Innovation Fund, combines education, arts and science with secondary school students (aged 16-19) in the Mekong Delta.
Students will work in groups to conduct their own research on different aspects of their home river. They will be coached, supported and guided by a network of 25 young leaders who are youth leaders, young scientists, young artists and more, who are already involved in existing British Council programmes such as Newton Fund research projects, Higher Education Partnerships, Active Citizenship and Cultural and Creative Hubs. This approach allows the project to have multi-sectoral engagement, focusing on the impacts of climate change in the Mekong Delta, while also providing opportunities to engage online with other remote and disadvantaged areas in the North, Central and South of Vietnam.
Nanoen is honored to be invited as a guest and hopes to be able to contribute to the project in the future. With extensive experience in the environmental field such as environmental legal consultancy, consulting, design, installation of environmental treatment systems, consulting on cleaner production and industrial symbiosis, ... and knowledge - skills in working with state management agencies, we will support the project through training sessions, sharing experiences - necessary skills when working with local authorities to present climate change issues. In addition, Nanoen also supports the ideation, design and presentation of ideas, plans to approach and implement project models based on relationships and reputation with many business customers in the Mekong Delta and connections with Institutes and Universities in Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.
